Zinn Tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's soccer team has the honor of highlighting freshman Morgane Zinn as this week's Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The award is the first weekly honor of Zinn's career, and second for the Spiders as Emma Newman picked up the accolade in the opening week.
Zinn, a Montclair, N.J., native, made her mark with the decisive strike in Richmond's 1-0 road win at Wofford on Sunday, netting the game-winner in the third minute for her first career goal.
The freshman tallied two shots with both on target and played 116 minutes across two Spider victories, also contributing in Richmond's 1-0 shutout of East Carolina, helping lead the Spiders to a 3-1 start to the year.
The Spiders return home Thursday to host Radford at 5 p.m. at President's Field before traveling to Washington, D.C., on Sunday for a 1 p.m. matchup at Howard.
