
Spiders Wrap Up Weekend at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Richmond's women's track and field team competed at the Virginia Challenge this weekend at Lannigan Field.
Friday
Laurel Kurtz led the spiders with a 19th place finish in section one of the 5k with a personal best time of 17:17.63.
In the 1500 meter, Hallie Muniz led Richmond with a time of 4:34.32 and finished 19th. Brooke Reif finished 21st with a time of 4:35.23.
In the 400 meter hurdles invitational, Darya Mikusova finished fifth with a time of 1:00.47.
From men's cross country, Cooper Groat finished 52nd with a time of 4:00.71.
Saturday
In the 800 meter, Morgan Lyons led Richmond and finished 10th with a time of 2:10.96.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Mikusova finished 22nd with a personal best time of 14.18.
In the 400 meter, Virginia Beringer finished 20th with a time of 55.23. Morgan Elliott finished 39th with a personal best time of 56.54.
Richmond returns on the track on April 24-26 for the Penn Relays.
