Spiders Top A-10 Men's Golf Preseason Poll

RICHMOND, Va. — For the first time on record, the Richmond Spiders have been picked first in the annual Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Preseason Poll, the conference announced Friday. The Spiders received seven of a possible 12 first-place votes in voting conducted among the league's head coaches. Davidson received four first-place votes, and VCU received the final first-place vote.
The Spiders have finished in the top five in each of their seven events this season and are coming off their first win of the year, a 10-shot victory at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz. Richmond's team score of 29-under par in the event broke the program record for lowest team tournament score by five strokes.
Richmond will be seeking its second Atlantic 10 title and first since 2017 at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship on April 22-24 in Orlando, Fla. at Evermore Resort
