Spiders Announce 2026 Football Signing Class Presented by Owen & Owens

Richmond, Va.— The University of Richmond football program and head coach Russ Huesman announced the newest additions to the Spiders' roster on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day's early signing period. These student-athletes will be eligible for competition beginning in the 2026 season. Richmond's signing day is presented by Owen & Owens.

The incoming class features 14 prospects from five states, including a strong core from within the Commonwealth of Virginia and key additions across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Southeast regions.

Richmond addressed needs across the roster with a balanced group on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Spiders add a quarterback, two offensive linemen, a tight end, and two wide receivers. Defensively, the class brings size and strength up front, athleticism at linebacker, and depth in the secondary, highlighted by a strong group of cornerbacks.
