Primiano Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced the swimming and diving weekly awards. Earning her first Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week accolade was freshman Gabbie Primiano.
A native of Scottsdale, Ariz., Primiano swept the breaststroke races with two gold medal finishes in the dual meet against Villanova. In the 100, Primiano touched the wall at 1:04.30, finishing more than a second ahead of the next finisher. In the 200, she achieved the NIC B cut with a time of 2:18.52. Her 200-breaststroke time from Saturday ranks 11th in the A-10.
