Track Runs At Weather-Shortened CNU Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The University of Richmond women's track and field team opened the 2018-19 season in Newport News at the CNU Invitational. Due to weather only the athletes in the 3,000-meter race were able to compete. The Spiders swept the race claiming 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places: Ave Grosenheider (9:51.45), Jordan Angers (10:02.97), Claire Brown (10:14.29) and Abby Seaberg (10:24.53). Grosenheider's mark currently ranks No. 1 within the Atlantic 10 Conference and qualifies for the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships later this winter bettering the qualifying standard of 9:55.24 while Angers and Seaberg both set personal best marks.
