
Kelly Named Preseason All-League by College Sports Madness

Richmond rising junior goalkeeper Emily Kelly (Grand Cayman Islands) was selected to the Second-Team on the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Conference squads by College Sports Madness.
Kelly made 10 starts for the Spiders last season, posting three shutouts. She registered 38 saves in goal in 2013. She appeared in one game as a freshman, making a pair of saves in her 45 minutes in goal. Her career goals against average is 0.92, with a save percentage of .769 so far in two seasons at UR.
Kelly and the Spiders began preseason practice today. They will scrimmage Lynchburg College on Monday, August 18 at the UR Campus Practice Field, starting at 5 p.m.
The regular season opens with the first seven games away from home. Richmond will take on Campbell University at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 22 to begin the 2014 campaign.
The Spiders host Princeton to start a four-game home stand at Robins Stadium, beginning Friday, September 19, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
